An issue affecting online play for all users on Java 7 has been identified and fixed. The issue was preventing some users from logging in and typically resulted in the login window being greyed-out and hanging indefinitely - this should now be fixed for all users, apologies for the inconvenience.
Under the hood:
- The way that Tropic Euro communicates with the server is now done in a way that should be future-proof (i.e. it should work fine with Java 8 and onwards). The old architecture was relying too heavily on Java standard library internals, functionality which accidentally broke Tropic Euro with the Java 7 update.
