A simple, easy-to-use tutorial has been added, which is aimed at players completely new to Tropic Euro and the board game. It should take around 15 minutes to complete on average and is designed to cover all the main aspects of the game. You can now introduce your friends to Tropic Euro and hopefully get lots of ranked games going!
The tutorial has a simplified interface, with some visual effects such as animations turned off. To keep it as easy as possible to learn, the initial rules have also been tweaked slightly, with all three players starting with no plantations and $200 (i.e. instead of player 3 starting with banana / $100). It also is cut short after six rounds of play - normal games of Tropic Euro take around fifteen rounds to complete.
Apologies for the delay in launching this feature - it took a lot more time than expected to develop, with several months of thought and discussion going into the sequence of moves and wording in order to achieve a tutorial that is as simple as possible, yet one which introduces all of the main game concepts in a clear and logical way.
Issues fixed:
- An issue with the fade-in animation for the final scores has been fixed - it should now display much smoother.
