tropic euro doesn't launch offline

I used to be able to launch tropic euro offline, but with the latest version, if I don't have an internet connection, I get an "unable to launch the application" dialog, with the following stack trace. It looks like it's trying to contact the site to check for updates even if there's no connection.

Moved to Installation / Login Issues forum as this isn't a bug in Tropic Euro. I noticed on a recent Java 7 update that there is an issue with offline play, please see the very bottom of this page for two possible workarounds:

Also, have you tried updating to the latest Java 7 Update 25? Let me know if that fixes it.

Thanks for the reply. Upgrading to the latest java 7 did not fix it. However, running javaws with the -offline flag from the command line works. I can now play on the train again!

Excellent, well hopefully it will be fixed in the next update to Java 7 - the fact that they have acknowledged it as an important issue should mean they are in the process of fixing it.
