Evolver AI Problem / OpenOffice Calc

Hi!
I'm new here and downloaded the Evolver program to learn the game.
I opened the file to Open Office calc and clicked start, nothing happens.
I'm low tech when it comes to excel programs and such.
Can someone point out what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Guitar_Man, the Evolver spreadsheet may only work with Microsoft Office - the only version I've tested it on is Excel 2003, but it should also work on Excel 2007 and newer. It may work on some versions of OpenOffice, if anyone has got it working on any program other than Excel 2003 then feel free to add to this topic.

Also if you are learning the game, we highly recommend the Tropic Euro guided tutorial

Thanks for taking the time from your busy schedule to post a very quick reply.
I'll give the tutorial a try and hope I can find a player who will accept a noob at a table.
