Hi,

Today I register the site for get updated files.
Following is my suggestion after play the PR Evolver more than 100 times.
My favorited version is the one mouse can be used, for it is easy to control.
Would you please revised the 2011 version files into mouse controlled ones, if it takes times, please changed the color of coffee in the previous mouse controlled version for it is hard to see the figure in the present color.

Thank for present the excellent excel game.

Hi Charley,

Ah yes I forgot about the mouse-controlled version of the evolver by "FG" - when I first started doing the improvements I was debating whether to use the mouse-enabled version as the basis, but in the end decided to use Tony Mitton's original version to speed up development, as the priority was to generate a set of difficult AI players for Tropic Euro.

At the moment we're busy developing support for multiple server rooms and an Android/tablet edition of Tropic Euro and so are not able to commit time to this right now, but if any Excel developers are reading this then you are more than welcome to contribute!

I've also contacted the developer of the mouse-controlled version of the evolver - "FG" (Fabio Guadagni) - to see if he is interested in helping.

Dear Chris,

Thanks for your prompt response with understanding.
Please tell me what is the meaning after clicking the start button for evolution and following clicking the No button, while screen shows "Number of evolutions?".
I understand the meaning of the following "Number of games in each?(20,000 take about 2 minutes)", please tell me the meaning of "Number of evolution?" and the range of the "Number" and their results.

Your early attention is highly appreciated.

Each evolution step consists of playing a set number of games (e.g. 20,000), and then the best players are kept and "bred" with each other for the next evolutionary step. So, the number of evolutions is the number of these evolution steps to automate in a row - otherwise you would have to click the button to play a new set of games each time.

When creating the set of DNA to go into Tropic Euro, many thousands of evolution steps were used, so this automation was essential.
